Serverless Function Error Tracker
Catch errors in your Vercel serverless functions before users do
Nora pulls logs from your Vercel serverless functions and alerts you to errors, cold starts, and performance issues.
Serverless functions hide errors. A function might fail silently and users see a generic error, while you never know. Nora queries your Vercel function logs hourly and aggregates errors: TypeError, SyntaxError, timeout errors, out-of-memory errors, etc. For each error, it tracks: frequency (how many times today?), affected users (how many requests failed?), error message, and stack trace. If an error is new or spiking (10x normal), you get an alert. Nora also tracks cold-start performance — how long does it take for a function to initialize? Cold starts >5s are noticeable to users. If a function is consistently timing out (execution time exceeded), Nora flags it as undersized (needs more memory). This automation is like error tracking + performance profiling for your backend. For a critical payment function, this means you catch failures within minutes.
How it works
- Query Vercel function logs for all serverless functions in production
- Parse logs for errors, exceptions, and timeout events
- Aggregate errors by type and function, track frequency
- Measure cold-start duration and execution time per function
- Flag new errors or 10x increase in error rate with details
- Alert on timeout errors or memory limit exceeded with remediation suggestions
