Auto-Unsubscribe Bounced & Complaining Emails
Nora removes bounced and complaining addresses from your lists automatically
Bounced emails and spam complaints hurt your deliverability. This automation flags them in ActiveCampaign and removes them from future sends, protecting your sender reputation.
Deliverability is critical for email marketing. One bounced email in 10,000 is normal; 100 bounced emails is a red flag that damages your sender reputation and lands you in spam folders. This automation monitors bounces and complaints in ActiveCampaign daily. Hard bounces (domain doesn't exist, invalid address) are immediately removed from your lists. Soft bounces (mailbox full, temporary error) are flagged; if they bounce 3 times in a row, they're removed. Spam complaints (someone marked your email as spam) are removed instantly. Nora also logs all removals in a report, so you can spot patterns: e.g., 'All bounces today are from @oldcompany.com—likely invalid company email list.' Example: A customer list you bought has 200 invalid emails. When you mail to them, ActiveCampaign sees 50+ bounces. Nora catches them on day 1 and removes them before they damage your sender score. Your deliverability stays above 99%, and you don't land in spam.
How it works
- Nora queries ActiveCampaign for bounced and complained addresses
- Categorizes: hard bounce, soft bounce, complaint
- Hard bounces and complaints are removed immediately
- Soft bounces are tracked; 3 in a row trigger removal
- Generates daily report with removal count and reasons
- Alerts if bounce rate spikes above 5%
